Honey Ginger & Green Tea Stir Fry Sauce

By: Danielle DeLuca – Owner of Your Culinary Experience
Ingredients
□ ¼ Cup White Balsamic Vinegar
□ 1 Cup Strong Brewed Ginger Green Tea, room
temperature (Bigelow brand is preferred)
□ 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger, grated
□ 2 Cloves of Garlic, grated
□ Zest and juice of 1 Lemon
□ 2 Tbsp Honey
□ 1 tsp Arrowroot Powder
Directions
Step 1
In a small saucepan, whisk the cold green tea and
arrowroot powder until smooth.
Step 2
Add the balsamic vinegar, honey, ginger, and garlic and whisk until combined.
Step 3
Heat over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and becomes crystal clear.
Step 4
Stir in the fresh lemon juice and zest at the very last second to preserve the Vitamin C and the flavor.
Note: Arrowroot stays clear and glossy when heated, whereas cornstarch can look cloudy, so be sure to not substitute with cornstarch.
This recipe is great to add to a chicken and broccoli stir fry, or a pork tenderloin stir fry with carrots, zucchini and asparagus shaved into ribbons.
