Honey Bee researcher Dr. John Kefuss introduces us to his good friend Martha the mite. She’s not very happy with her life in at John’s apiary, since his colonies are selected for mite resistance. That is why she was happy to be moved near a beekeeper that treats his hives because her kids will eventually become resistant to his chemical treatments. …..and she will have lots of grandchildren. Hopefully Martha will live a healthy and happy life, and John will get more mites to do his testing
